Zirconia dioxide/ZrO2


      Zirconia (ZrO2) is a ceramic material with excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and excellent electrical insulation properties.

Physical properties
Specific gravity (S.G): about 5.6 g/cm³
Porosity: usually less than 40%
Vickers hardness (HV1 Hardness): 1000-1300 HV
Flexural Strength: 800-1200 MPa
Compressive Strength: 2000-3000 MPa
Young's Modulus: 200-210 GPa (2x10^11 Pa)
 Fracture Toughness: 7-10 MPam^1/2

Linear thermal expansion coefficient (40-400°C): approximately 10x10^-6/°C
Linear thermal expansion coefficient (40-800°C): approximately 10.5x10^-6/°C
Thermal Conductivity: 2-3 W/m-K
Specific Heat: 400-500 J/kg·K

Thermal shock/Dielectric Strength: >10 kV/mm
 Volume resistivity@20°C: >10^14 Ω·cm
